House of the Dragon: Οι πρώτες αντιδράσεις μιλάνε για ένα άξιο διάδοχο του Game of Thrones

Το House of the Dragon πρόκειται να κάνει πρεμιέρα σε μερικές εβδομάδες στο HBO και πλέον έχουμε τις πρώτες αντιδράσεις από διάφορους δημοσιογράφους (και όχι μόνο) της Αμερικής, οι οποίοι είχαν την τύχη να παρακολουθήσουν το πρώτο επεισόδιο. Η spin-off σειρά του Game of Thrones θα προβληθεί στις 21 Αυγούστου και σε περίπτωση που δεν το γνωρίζετε, θα διαδραματίζεται 200 χρόνια πριν από τα γεγονότα της Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Το σόου θα εξιστορεί την πολιτική αναταραχή που ξεσηκώνεται στην αρχαία αυτή οικογένεια.

Οι fans ανυπομονούν να επισκεφθούν ξανά το King’s Landing και να παρακολουθήσουν το νέο σόου του HBO και με τις πρώτες αντιδράσεις, σίγουρα θα πρέπει να χαρείτε. Συγκεκριμένα, πολλοί λένε ότι το σόου έχει ένα εκπληκτικό πρώτο επεισόδιο, με τεράστια κλίματα και επικό “feeling”.

Οι Steve Weintraub και Christina Raddish του Collider λένε ότι το The House of the Dragon δείχνει επικό σε κλίμακα, ενώ αφηγείται μια προσωπική και οικεία ιστορία μιας οικογένειας. Άλλοι κριτικοί όπως ο Brandon Katz αποκάλεσαν το πρώτο επεισόδιο "άξιο διάδοχο" της κεντρικής σειράς που ολοκληρώθηκε πριν μερικά χρόνια.

For those curious about the series, without spoilers, I can say that the thing I really dig is the fact that it still feels epic in scale and scope while telling a personal and intimate story about one family, showcasing both their love and dysfunction

I think the first episode of HOTD will easily rope curious fans back in after the rocky finish of GOT. I think they've earned a season of fans' continued loyalty, if they deliver on the promise of the 1st episode I saw for the whole of this season, watch out, cause ASOIAF's back!

Λίγα λόγια για το House of the Dragon:

Σε περίπτωση που δε γνωρίζετε, πρόκειται για το πρώτο spinoff σόου του σύμπαντος του George R.R. Martin, μέσα από το οποίο θα μεταφερθούμε 200 χρόνια πριν τα γεγονότα του "A Song of Ice and Fire", εκεί όπου ο Οίκος των Targaryen βρισκόταν στο ζενίθ του. "Θεοί. Βασιλιάδες. Φωτιά. Αίμα" αυτές είναι οι λέξεις με τις οποίες το HBO προλογίζει τη σειρά και θα μας μεταφέρει στα γεγονότα που οδηγούν στο τέλος του άλλοτε ένδοξου αυτού Οίκου και τον εμφύλιο των Targaryen γνωστό ως τον "Χορό των Δράκων".

Το cast απαρτίζεται από τους: Paddy Considine (The Outsider, Peaky Blinders) που θα παίξει τον Βασιλιά Viserys Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy (Truth Seekers, Hannah) ως Πριγκίπισσα Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith (The Crown, Doctor Who) στον ρόλο του Πρίγκιπα Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke ως "Alicent Hightower", Rhys Ifans ως "Otto Hightower", Steve Toussaint ως "Lord Colrys Velaryon" ή αλλιώς γνωστός ως "Sea Snake". Μαζί τους οι: Sonoya Mizuno (Devs) ως Mysaria, Fabien Frankel (The Serpent) ως Knight Ser Criston Cole και η Eve Best (Nurse Jackie) στο ρόλο της συζύγου του "Sea Snake".

Tη δημιουργία του υπογράφουν οι Goerge R.R. Martin και Ryan J. Condal (Colony). Ο Condal, μαζί με τον σκηνοθέτη Miguel Sapochnik, εκτελούν χρέη showrunner και εκτελεστικών παραγωγών. Το House of the Dragon θα αποτελείται από 10 επεισόδια, τουλάχιστον για την πρώτη σεζόν του.

Το House of the Dragon θα κάνει πρεμιέρα στις 21 Αυγούστου 2022 στα HBO και HBO Max.
