Στα βραβεία Emmy 2020 θριάμβευσαν τα Succession, Watchmen και Schitt's Creek

Τα Βραβεία Emmy 2020 διεξήχθησαν τελικά με εντελώς διαφορετικό τρόπο, τηρώντας φυσικά όλα τα προβλεπόμενα μέτρα του κορωναϊού και ίσως να μας έδειξαν με μια κλεφτή ματιά πώς θα διεξάγονται από εδώ και πέρα αυτά τα events, όπως τα ερχόμενα Oscars. Στην πιο λαμπερή βραδιά της τηλεόρασης βραβεύτηκαν δεκάδες σειρές και ηθοποιοί, με τις σειρές που κυριολεκτικά σάρωσαν τα βραβεία των "τηλεοπτικών Oscars" να είναι τα Succession και Watchmen του HBO, καθώς και το Schitt's Creek. 

Παρά το γεγονός ότι το Netflix είχε τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες σε όλες τις κατηγορίες (υπήρχαν και αρκετές που δεν μεταδόθηκαν τηλεοπτικά), τελικά το HBO ήταν το κανάλι θριαμβευτής με 30 βραβεία έναντι των 21 που απέσπασε η δημοφιλής streaming υπηρεσία. 

Μπορεί, επίσης, να μην είχαν κόκκινο χαλί, αλλά φρόντισαν οι παρευρισκόμενοι και οι διοργανωτές να έχουν αρκετά ευτράπελα, πολιτικά μηνύματα και ένα μικρό αλλά νοσταλγικό reunion από τα "Φιλαράκια".
