Emmy Awards 2019: Σάρωσαν τα Game of Thrones και Fleabag στα τηλεοπτικά Oscars

Η 71η Τελετή Απονομής των Emmy διεξήχθη για ακόμη μια φορά στο Microsoft Theater του Los Angeles και αναμενόμενα όλα τα φώτα του Χόλιγουντ στράφηκαν σε αυτή τη λαμπερή βραδιά γεμάτη χαμόγελα, συγκίνηση και εκπλήξεις.

Μπορεί να μην σάρωσε τα βραβεία στη μεγάλη βραδιά των Emmys αλλά αναμενόμενα το Game of Thrones αναδείχθηκε Καλύτερη Δραματική σειρά για το 2019. Έτσι, παρά την αμφιλεγόμενη 8η σεζόν του απέσπασε ένα από τα μεγάλα έπαθλα της βραδιάς και συνολικά μαζί με τα "μικρά" Emmys, τα επονομαζόμενα Creative Arts, έφυγε με 12 βραβεία. Τα περισσότερα κιόλας τα έλαβε λόγω του επεισοδίου The Long Night.

Μαζί του ο Peter Dinklage βραβεύτηκε για τέταρτη φορά με το βραβείο Β' Ανδρικού Ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά, υποδυόμενος τον Tyrion Lannister, και με αυτή τη νίκη είναι ο ηθοποιός με τα περισσότερα αγαλματίδια της κατηγορίας. 

Έπειτα, η κωμική σειρά Fleabag της Phoebe Waller-Bridge ήταν μία από τους μεγάλους νικητές της βραδιάς με τέσσερα βραβεία για Καλύτερη Κωμική Σειρά, Α' Γυναικείου Ρόλου, Σεναρίου και Καλύτερης Σκηνοθέτη σε κωμική σειρά. 

Η έκπληξη της χρονιάς, που στα βραβεία αναμενόμενα έκανε καλή συγκομιδή, είναι το Chernobyl. Η μίνι δραματική σειρά εποχής με μια από τις υψηλότερες βαθμολογίες στο IMDB κέρδισε τρία βραβεία (Καλύτερης Μίνι Σειράς, Σεναρίου, Σκηνοθεσίας) έναντι του "φαβορί" When They See Us του Netflix και συνολικά 10. 

Το βραβείο Α' Ανδρικού ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά απέσπασε ο Billy Porter του Pose, ενώ Καλύτερη Ηθοποιός σε δραματική σειρά η Jodie Comer του Killing Eve. Το Β' Γυναικείου ρόλου πήρε η Julia Garner για το Ozark, στο οποίο ο Jason Bateman πανηγύρισε το βραβείο Καλύτερου Σκηνοθέτη κιόλας, νικώντας τους David Benioff και D.B. Weiss του Game of Thrones

Στη μάχη των καναλιών εκεί τα παραδοσιακά ελεύθερης εμβέλειας κατατροπώθηκαν από τα καλωδιακά και τις streaming υπηρεσίας. Συγκεκριμένα, το HBO έφυγε συνολικά με 34 βραβεία, το Netflix με 27 και το Amazon Prime Video με 15, ενώ το μόνο ελεύθερο κανάλι που μπήκε στην 5άδα ήταν το NBC με 7 βραβεία.
